DELAY OF SHIPPING!!!
Due to China new year, manufacturing has been
halted and it will take about a month for the factories to catch up on work again.  Unfortunately this means that the earliest shipments will begin to go out is the very end of March.  We apologize for the delays but this is out of our hands.

UPDATE:
I have tentatively closed backorders for this product because there are just too many orders.  The manufacturer will have issues meeting demand.  More than double the already ordered motors will be stocked and as soon as they arrive, ordering will open again.

Additionally, I may have stumbled upon a similarly good motor that can be sold for $1 less than the AMAX.  If this motor is worthy, I will include one extra motor for every four motors in your order so everyone that has already ordered wins.  I have a set of this other motor on the way for testing and will let everyone know soon.

Those that already ordered got lucky.  Had to increase the price due to ridiculous customs charges…

This is my preferred motor at the moment for the Toothpick build with the magical King Kong 65mm prop.

The AMAX 1103 motor has a 1.45mm shaft which I’ve found to have good consistency, +/-0.001mm.  It also has two bearings inside and is well balanced.  Not perfectly balanced but well balanced across the dozen I’ve used.  While there are more expensive motors that may be a little better here and there, this is the best bang for the buck motor I’ve found so far and that’s why I’m carrying it.  I will change my offerings if I find a better option.  You will need a 1.4mm drill to drill out the King Kong 65mm prop hub.  I’m working on getting the correct props made with even better balance.  Hopefully available soon.

Recommendations for optimal performance:
– This motor is best on 2S 300-1000mah with a sub 90g AUW.
– (For 1S, I recommend an 0803 or 0804 in ~10,000-12,000kv)
– The 3 hole Toothpick frame is designed to fit this motor
– USE AN XT30 power connector – THIS INSTANTLY ADDS 30-40% more performance AND flight time!!!
– Swap your power lines on the XT30 to 20awg wires
– Remove the motor connectors on the Crazybee and direct solder motor wires

Some testing info:
I’ve now tested a couple 1104 and 1105 motors on the Crazybee F4 board with 2S from 5000kv to 9000kv!  I cannot frikin believe what this little Crazybee board can take!  What I’ve found is that while the 1104 and 1105 do give a slight bump to punch performance, speed and power in the higher kv’s, the amp draw of anything above ~7800kv on 2S is so excessive it’s not worth it.  It’s almost no improvement in performance for a lot less flight time and the ability to damage your batteries.  You need to start limiting your max throttle endpoint to avoid ruining batteries after ~7800kv.  The increased motor weight of a bigger motor is actually fine but should also be considered.  Upgrading your power lines and power connector will make a MUCH BIGGER impact than moving up in motor size or kv.

I ran into a metal built in barque at near full throttle.  Minor dent to the motor.  Still works fine and is well balanced.
